DU DROIT À LA CHAISE” À LE TROTTOIR -MILANO

Nei locali de Le Trottoir, in Piazza XXIV maggio, 1, a Milano, nell’ambito degli eventi "Du Droit à la Chaise" di Mat&AleCo, sarà presentata una suggestiva installazione della poltroncina in metacrilato Du Droit, progetto del nipote di Gio Ponti, Matteo Licitra, e di Maria Alessandra Columbu.

Durante l’happy hour di martedì 17 e di domenica 22 aprile, si terranno improvvisazioni di musica atonale alla tastiera, di Matteo Licitra, insieme ai ritmi meravigliosi del percussionista Marco Renna in arte Marujo, voci di Michelle Vasseur e di Maria Alessandra Columbu.
La poltroncina Du Droit, come afferma la stessa Columbu, riflette le prospettive dell’approccio di Gio Ponti verso la composizione, attraverso l’esplorazione degli spazi. Così, ad esempio, all'Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Stoccolma, dove lo scorso febbraio c’è stato il primo evento "Du Droit à la Chaise", la poltroncina Du Droit assumeva aspetti differenti, e diventava tutt’uno con l'edificio e gli arredi, entrambi progettati da Gio Ponti, interagendo mirabilmente con gli spazi, i suoni, i silenzi, e i panorami esterni e interni, in un’atmosfera singolare.
Venite a visitare l’installazione a Le Trottoir, scoprirete come dodici poltroncine Du Droit trasformano lo spazio aereo del patio, giocando con la luce, riflettendo colori, come antichi lampadari di cristallo.

POLTRONCINA DU DROIT

La poltroncina Du Droit, è trasparente e, per quanto massiccia, non adombra quel che accompagna: è oggettivamente pesante, e nel contempo, è leggera, eterea.
È lucida e riflette l’ambiente che la circonda.
È ricca, ma è discreta, fa risaltare qualsiasi cosa, in qualsiasi ambiente. Eppure, “sa essere protagonista” in qualsiasi ambiente.
Il fianco della poltroncina, a forma di freccia, vuole essere una citazione del primo logo Alitalia disegnato da Gio Ponti nel 1940. «È un omaggio a mio nonno Gio»,&l t; /span> dice Matteo Licitra, che ha disegnato con Maria Alessandra la Du Droit.

Realizzata in PMMA pieno, pesa circa 14 Kg. È comoda, ergonomica, e robusta. Testata per più di 4 anni, in condizioni severe d'uso, anche in esterno, non ha evidenziato problemi di sorta, ed è sempre come nuova.

In the premises of Le Trottoir, at Piazza XXIV Maggio, 1, Milano, as event "Du Droit à la Chaise"  by Mat&AleCo, will be presented a striking installation of  the Du Droit armchair, made in methacrylate, a project by Matteo Licitra, Gio Ponti's niece, and  by Maria Alessandra  Columbu.

During happy hour on Tuesday and Sunday, April 17- 22, there will be improvisations of atonal music with Matteo Licitra at the keyboard, along with the wonderful rhythms of the percussionist Marco Renna in art Marujo, the voices by Michelle Vasseur and Maria Alessandra Columbu.
The Du Droit armchair, as says Columbu reflects the perspectives of the approach to the composition of Gio Ponti, through the exploration of space. So, for example, at the Italian Cultural Institute in Stockholm, where last February 2012 there was the first event "Du Droit à la Chaise, "the Du Droit armchair assumed  different aspects, and became all in one with the building and furnishings, both designed by Gio Ponti, interacting beautifully with spaces, sounds, silences, and the landscapes and interiors, in a unique atmosphere.

Come and visit the installation at Le Trottoir, you will discover as twelve armchairs Du Droit turn the airspace of the patio, playing with light, reflecting colors such as antique crystal chandeliers.

ARMCHAIR DU DROIT

The Du Droit armchair, is transparent and as far as massive, it does not foreshadow what it accompanies: it is objectively heavy, and at the same time, is light, ethereal.
It is shiny and reflects the environment that surrounds it.
It is rich, but it is discreet, it does everything stand out in any environment. And yet, "can be protagonist" in any environment.
The side of the chair, shaped like an arrow, wants to be a citation of the Alitalia logo designed by Gio Ponti in 1940. "It's a tribute to my grandfather Gio," says Matteo Licitra, who drew with Maria Alessandra the Du Droit.
Made of solid Polymethyl-Methacrylate (PMMA),  weighs approximately 14 kg. It is comfortable, ergonomic, and rugged. Tested for over 4 years, under severe conditions of use, even outdoors, showed no problems whatsoever, and is as good as new.
