E’ LACCENTO DI MONTALBERA IL NUOVO TRE BICCHIERI
CHE PREMIA PER LA SECONDA VOLTA LA DENOMINAZIONE RUCHE’
Il Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato Laccento 2016 si conferma un Ruchè che sa distinguersi, aggiudicandosi i Tre Bicchieri della guida Vini d’Italia 2018. Per il secondo anno consecutivo, infatti, il Gambero Rosso premia la denominazione Ruchè. Nel 2017 il prestigioso riconoscimento è andato al Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato La Tradizione 2015, prima volta in assoluto in cui la denominazione ha ricevuto questo autorevole premio.
“Soddisfazione e gratificazione, un grande onore, ma anche una ricompensa” dichiara Franco Morando, giovane imprenditore e Direttore Generale di Montalbera, azienda che da sei generazioni appartiene alla sua famiglia.
“Dietro a ogni mio passo, ogni pensiero e investimento c’è il lavoro quotidiano di un’azienda agricola che cresce, il coraggio di osare e di studiare per migliorarsi quotidianamente senza aver mai la presunzione di esser arrivati alla massima espressione qualitativa. Laccento rappresenta il coraggio mio e di Montalbera di andare oltre. Laccento è il simbolo dell’audacia e della fermezza di voler portare la denominazione Ruchè alla sua massima espressione”. Aggiunge Franco Morando: “Quest’anno festeggiamo i 10 anni del nostro Ruchè Laccento. Non poteva esserci riconoscimento più gradito per brindare ancora una volta al Ruchè e alla storia di questo autoctono senza pari”.
Ruchè, l’altra faccia del Piemonte, quello innovativo e capace di vedere oltre la classica enologia tradizionale e alle storiche denominazioni. Un vino dal carattere inconfondibile. Con un giusto e severo diradamento delle uve nei primi mesi estivi, effettuando un’attenta cernita di uve in sovra-maturazione, con un “piccolo” blend di uve appassite direttamente in vigna, Montalbera ha messo “LACCENTO qualitativo” sulla É di Ruchè.
Colore rosso rubino intenso con riflessi violacei, profumo intrigante con sentori floreali, note di petali di rosa e frutti di bosco. Gustodelicato e intenso al tempo stesso, piacevolmente aromatico, morbido ed elegante. Un vino che riesce a regalare in un bicchiere profumo, dolcezza, morbidezza, mineralità e alcolicità è raro. Laccento ci riesce al meglio.
Il Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato Laccento 2016, come già il 2015, si riconferma con i 99 punti, massimo voto del sensorialista Luca Maroni, Annuario dei Migliori Vini Italiani 2018.
Non c’è due senza tre… Montalbera pensa in grande e sta già lavorando per i prossimi successi.

RUCHE’ DESIGNATION HAS RECEIVED THIS HONOUR
Montalbera’s Laccento 2016 Ruché di Castagnole Monferrato has proved itself to be a Ruché that knows how to distinguish itself, winning the 2018 Vini d’Italia wine guide’s Tre Bicchieri award. For the second year in a row, the Gambero Rosso publishing group has bestowed an award on the Ruché designation. In 2017, this prestigious honour was bestowed on La Tradizione 2015 Ruché di Castagnole Monferrato, the first time this designation had ever received this authoritative prize.
‘It is both satisfying and gratifying, a great honour as well as a reward’, said Franco Morando, a young entrepreneur and General Manager of Montalbera, a company that has been in his family for six generations.
‘Behind every step I take, every thought and every investment is the daily work done by an agricultural enterprise that is growing, the effort that comes with making mistakes and getting up again, the courage to dare. Laccento represents Montalbera’s daring to go beyond. Laccento is a symbol of our boldness and steadfast determination to take the Ruché designation to the limit.’ Franco Morando adds: ‘This year we are celebrating 10 years of our Laccento Ruché. There couldn’t be a more welcome reward to toast Ruché and the history of this peerless native variety once again.’
Ruché, the other side of Piedmont, the innovative side, able to look beyond classic traditional winemaking and long-standing designations; with its own unique character, with the right, ruthless thinning out of berries in early summer and a careful selection of over-ripe grapes, with a ‘small’ blend of grapes left to dry on the vine, Montalbera has put the ‘LACCENTO’ on quality.
An intense ruby red colour with purple reflections, an intriguing floral fragrance with notes of rose petals and forest fruits, a delicate yet intense flavour that is pleasingly aromatic, smooth and elegant; rarely does a wine manage to offer fragrance, sweetness, smoothness, mineral and alcoholic qualities all in one glass. Laccento does it perfectly.
Laccento is also the first wine to have succeeded in getting two entirely different schools of thought to agree: Gambero Rosso and Luca Maroni, tradition on the one hand and unconventional expression on the other, as different as night and day. As with the 2015 vintage, Laccento 2016 Ruché di Castagnole Monferrato claims its rightful place once more with 99 points, the maximum vote awarded by the sensory analyst Luca Maroni.
Good things come in threes… Montalbera thinks big and is already working on its future achievements.
