Improvvisazione, swing e blue note: torna in Umbria nel mese di Luglio 2010 tutto il meglio della musica jazz con uno dei più grandi eventi dedicati alla musica afro-americana e non solo!<\/span>
Musica a 360° infatti per l'evento, dove tuttavia il jazz conferma la sua presenza come perno attorno cui ruota ogni performance: ritmi malinconici, caratterizzati da quel tipico senso di nostalgia che contraddistingue il genere.<\/span>
Umbria Jazz, Festival musicale jazzistico più importante dell'Umbria e uno dei più noti in Europa, affonda le sue radici nei primi anni '70: la prima edizione del Festival è datata infatti 1973. Inizialmente si trattava di un festival itinerante, ogni concerto previsto in cartellone era assolutamente gratuito e dislocato nelle varie piazze delle più importanti cittadine umbre (Perugia, Todi, Gubbio, Spoleto, Terni). Fin dalla prima edizione il festival riscuote un grandissimo successo e porta in Umbria l'afflusso di moltissimi visitatori. Tuttavia nel 1978, dopo soltanto 5 edizioni, la manifestazione è costretta ad uno stop per motivi di natura politica e\/o legati ad un momento storico non troppo facile, i cosiddetti anni di piombo in Italia.<\/span>
Nel 1982 si festeggia però la rinascita di Umbria Jazz e la sua nuova struttura: da itinerante a statico, con sede esclusivamente nella città di Perugia, da gratuito a festival a pagamento, con ingresso ai concerti dietro pagamento del biglietto d'ingresso.<\/span>
Grandi nomi come Coleman, Blankey, Dizzy Gillespie, Sam Rivers, Herbie Hanckok, Enrico Rava e tanti altri segnano la storia di questo grande momento ormai divenuto dopo 38 anni, un punto di riferimento per tutto il mondo musicale.<\/span>
Quest'anno dal 9 al 18 Luglio Perugia vedrà esibirsi Pat Metheny, Melody Gardot, Chick Corea, Sonny Rollins, The Manhattan Transfer, Leonard Cohen …e Mark Knopfler di cui si vocifera siano già disponibili biglietti in prevendita. <\/span>

La Rassegna<\/strong> del Grechetto<\/strong> è la festa dedicata al bianco vino umbro, giunta ormai alla XXII edizione, che si tiene ogni anno a luglio nella frazione spellana di Capitan Loreto. Vitigno autoctono dell’Umbria, il Grechetto è un vino cristallino dall’aroma delicato di frutta e il profumo floreale che si sposa con piatti di pesce, carni bianche, frittate fino alle zuppe di lenticchie.<\/span>
Con serate danzanti, stand gastronomici e spettacoli teatrali, la località di Capitan Loreto si trasforma all’insegna dell’allegria e della genuinità, invitando tutti gli amanti del vino e i buongustai. Ogni sera, infatti, oltre al Grechetto si possono gustare piatti tipici della cucina umbra come la coratella di agnello e le torte farcite e una specialità della serata, che si aggiunge al menu giornaliero. Dopo le nove le varie orchestre che si alternano sul palco di Capitan Loreto aprono le danze e chi vuole si può mettere alla prova con la gara di briscola. Alla rassegna spellana partecipano le più prestigiose cantine della Strada dei Vini del Cantico.<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

The “Grechetto Exhibition”<\/strong> is the festival dedicated to the Umbrian white wine, come to its XXIInd edition, held every year in July in Capitan Loreto, a Spello’s hamlet. Umbrian native vine, Grechetto is a crystalline wine with a delicate fruity flavour and a floral scent, that goes well with fish dishes, white meats, omelettes and lentils’ soups.
<\/font><\/em>With dances, gastronomic stands and theatrical performances, Capitan Loreto changes in the pursuit of the fun and of the genuineness, inviting the wine lovers and gourmets. Every day, in fact, besides Grechetto, you can taste the typical dishes of the Umbrian cooking, like the lamb pluck and the “torta al testo” and a speciality of the day, in addiction to the daily menu. After 9 p.m., different orchestras on the stage of Capitan Loreto lead off the night’s dancing and if you want, you can put yourself to the test with the “briscola competition”. All the most prestigious wine cellars of the Strada dei Vini del Cantico will take part to the festival.<\/p>\n

Festival di notorietà internazionale, al traguardo della sua XIX edizione. Il festival esalta il connubio perfetto tra qualità della musica e spazi culturali meravigliosi con lo scopo di valorizzare angoli e monumenti storici della nostra regione. Le masterclasses saranno tenute da docenti di fama internazionale. Tantissimi saranno i concerti in tutta la regione Umbria e altrettante le assegnazioni di borse di studio per i partecipanti al concorso, circa 25. Il Convitto Nazionale "Principe di Napoli", sede delle masterclasses, vedrà la partecipazione di musicisti provenienti da tutto il mondo.<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n
