Comune di Milano | Cultura<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>e\u00a0Fondazione Nicola Trussardi<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong> annunciano \u00a0La Grande Madre<\/em><\/strong>, una\u00a0mostra promossa da Comune di Milano | Cultura<\/strong>,\u00a0ideata e prodotta<\/strong>\u00a0dalla\u00a0Fondazione Nicola Trussardi<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>insieme a\u00a0Palazzo Reale<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>per\u00a0Expo in citt\u00e0 2015<\/strong>, e realizzata con il sostegno di\u00a0BNL Gruppo BNP Paribas<\/strong>,\u00a0main sponsor<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>dell\u2019esposizione.<\/p>\n

La mostra, che aprir\u00e0 al pubblico dal\u00a025 agosto al 15 novembre 2015<\/strong>, \u00e8 il frutto di una\u00a0collaborazione tra istituzioni pubbliche e private<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>nella condivisione di un progetto che porta la\u00a0grande arte contemporanea<\/strong>, anche nelle sue dimensioni pi\u00f9 attuali e innovatrici,\u00a0nello spazio espositivo pi\u00f9 prestigioso della citt\u00e0<\/strong>, rappresentando l\u2019evento di punta del calendario di Expo in citt\u00e0 nel secondo trimestre di Expo Milano 2015.Attraverso le opere di\u00a0oltre ottanta artisti internazionali<\/strong>,\u00a0La Grande Madre<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>analizzer\u00e0 l’iconografia e la rappresentazione della maternit\u00e0 nell’arte del Novecento, dalle avanguardie fino ai nostri giorni<\/strong>. Dalle veneri paleolitiche alle \u2018cattive ragazze\u2019 del post-femminismo, passando per la tradizione millenaria della pittura religiosa con le sue innumerevoli scene di maternit\u00e0, la storia dell\u2019arte e della cultura hanno spesso posto al proprio centro la figura della madre, simbolo della creativit\u00e0 e metafora della definizione stessa di arte. Archetipo e immagine primordiale, la madre e la sua versione pi\u00f9 familiare di \u201cmamma\u201d sono anche stereotipi intimamente legati all\u2019immagine dell\u2019Italia. La Grande Madre<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>sar\u00e0 una\u00a0mostra sul potere della donna<\/strong>: partendo dalla rappresentazione della maternit\u00e0, l\u2019esposizione passer\u00e0 in rassegna un secolo di scontri e lotte tra emancipazione e tradizione, raccontando le trasformazioni della sessualit\u00e0, dei generi e della percezione del corpo e dei suoi desideri.\u201cIl palinsesto di Expo in citt\u00e0 si arricchisce ancora grazie a una mostra prestigiosa<\/em><\/strong>, ospitata in una delle sedi espositive pi\u00f9 visitate d\u2019Italia, Palazzo Reale, che chiude il cerchio di una proposta completa sull\u2019arte, le sue stagioni e i suoi linguaggi grazie allo sguardo acuto e spiazzante di Massimiliano Gioni, Direttore artistico della Fondazione Nicola Trussardi<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 ha dichiarato l\u2019Assessore alla Cultura Filippo Del Corno<\/strong>.\u00a0Una proposta che non solo offrir\u00e0 al pubblico la possibilit\u00e0 di compiere un viaggio straordinario nella storia dell\u2019arte e della cultura italiana e internazionale, ma sar\u00e0 anche un\u2019occasione speciale di approfondimento sulla figura della madre, che pi\u00f9 di tutte incarna l\u2019idea della nutrizione, tema centrale di Expo 2015.<\/em>Un risultato reso possibile grazie alla Fondazione Nicola Trussardi nel quadro di un ampio dialogo tra pubblico e privato, stretti in un\u2019alleanza per la diffusione dell\u2019arte e della cultura<\/em><\/strong>\u201d.Con un\u00a0allestimento<\/strong>\u00a0che si estender\u00e0 su una\u00a0superficie di circa 2.000 metri quadrati al piano nobile di Palazzo Reale<\/strong>,\u00a0La Grande Madre<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>porter\u00e0 l\u2019arte contemporanea al centro del programma di Expo in citt\u00e0, collegando la storia dell\u2019arte alle questioni pi\u00f9 urgenti del nostro tempo. The\u00a0Cultural Office of the City of Milan<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>and the\u00a0Fondazione Nicola Trussardi<\/strong>\u00a0are pleased to announce\u00a0The Great Mother<\/em><\/strong>, an\u00a0exhibition promoted<\/strong>by the\u00a0Cultural Office of the City of Milan<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>conceived<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0produced<\/strong>\u00a0by the\u00a0Fondazione Nicola Trussardi<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>in\u00a0partnership<\/strong>\u00a0with\u00a0Palazzo Reale<\/strong>\u00a0for\u00a0Expo in Citt\u00e0 2015<\/strong>, and supported by\u00a0BNL BNP Paribas Group<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>as\u00a0main sponsor<\/strong>.The exhibition, which will be open to the public\u00a0from August 25 to November 15, 2015<\/strong>, is a\u00a0collaboration between the public and private sectors<\/strong>\u00a0to bring contemporary art into Palazzo Reale, the city\u2019s most prestigious exhibition venue<\/strong>, as the pivotal event on the Expo in Citt\u00e0 calendar for the second half of Expo 2015 in Milan.Through the work of\u00a0more than eighty international artists<\/strong>, the exhibition\u00a0The Great Mother<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>will analyze the\u00a0iconography of motherhood in the art and visual culture of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, from early avant-garde movements to the present<\/strong>.Whether as a symbol of creativity or as a metaphor for art itself, the archetype of the mother has been a central figure in the history of art, from the Venuses of the Stone Age to the “bad girls” of the postfeminist era and through centuries of religious works depicting innumerable maternity scenes. The more familiar version of \u201cMamma\u201d has also become a stereotype closely tied to the image of Italy.In undertaking an analysis of the representation of motherhood, the exhibition\u00a0The Great Mother<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>will trace a history of women’s empowerment<\/strong>, chronicling gender struggles, sexual politics, and clashes between tradition and emancipation.\u00a0\u201cThe Expo in Citt\u00e0 calendar will be made even richer by a prestigious exhibition<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>\u2013 housed in one of Italy\u2019s most popular exhibition venues, Palazzo Reale \u2013 which offers a sweeping panorama of the history and languages of art through the keen and challenging vision of Massimiliano Gioni, Artistic Director of the Fondazione Nicola Trussardi<\/em>,\u201d says\u00a0Filippo Del Corno, the city\u2019s Councilor for Culture<\/strong>. \u201cNot only will this project offer the public the chance to take an extraordinary journey through Italian and international art history and culture, it will be a special opportunity to explore the figure of the mother, the quintessential symbol of nourishment, which is the key theme of Expo 2015.<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>This achievement is made possible by the Fondazione Nicola Trussardi as part of a broader dialogue between the public and private sector, which are joining forces to help spread art and culture<\/em><\/strong>.\u201dWith an\u00a0exhibition layout<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>that will cover\u00a0<\/strong>more than 2000 square meters (20,000 square feet)<\/strong>\u00a0on the<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>piano nobile<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>of Palazzo Reale<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 a neoclassical building which preserves many of its original decorations and period details \u2013\u00a0The Great Mother<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>will bring contemporary art into the heart of the Expo in Citt\u00e0 program, linking art history to the most pressing issues of our time.
