Gilberto Zorio si confronta con lo spazio affrontando &ldquo;temi&rdquo; che oscillano tra l&rsquo;esperienza, il confronto, e l&rsquo;ignoto.<br style=\"line-height: 13px;\" \/><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tNella grande sala del&nbsp;<strong>piano terra<\/strong>&nbsp;la mostra si apre con una &ldquo;Torre Stella&rdquo;, costruzione di blocchi di gasbeton a pianta stellare. La stella, sin dall&rsquo;antichit&agrave;, &egrave; strumento d&rsquo;orientamento e desiderio. Le punte della Torre si prolungheranno e si propagheranno nello spazio a raggiera, in senso orario. L&rsquo;interno della Torre sar&agrave; parzialmente visibile e si vedranno nette le luminescenze provocate dall&rsquo;improvvisa oscurit&agrave;.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br style=\"line-height: 13px;\" \/><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIn tutta la sala appariranno i segni alchemici normalmente non visibili.<br style=\"line-height: 13px;\" \/><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tLe siviere sono portantine utilizzate per il trasporto a mano di crogiuoli che contengono il bronzo fuso, incandescente, pronto per essere colato nella forma-valva della scultura in negativo. Esse normalmente svolgono il ruolo di strumenti fabbricanti la scultura, ma nel caso della mostra di Zorio si trasformano lavorando per diventare esse stesse opere d&rsquo;arte.<br style=\"line-height: 13px;\" \/><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAl&nbsp;<strong>primo piano<\/strong>&nbsp;la mostra prosegue con un&rsquo;altra Torre Stella; nello spazio di luce solare la costruzione si propaga nell&rsquo;area esterna, percorrendo il terrazzo, mentre l&rsquo;opera&nbsp;<em>Luci<\/em>, 1968, tenta di competere con il bagliore del sole pronta comunque ad illuminare se stessa e il buio a venire.<br style=\"line-height: 13px;\" \/><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAl&nbsp;<strong>secondo piano<\/strong>, oscurato, ci saranno contenitori in pyrex, contenitori di gomma, segni e interventi visibili grazie all&rsquo;uso dei materiali-coaguli ricorrenti nel lavoro di Zorio.<br style=\"line-height: 13px;\" \/><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tLe luminescenze e le scariche, le scintille Tesla, saranno privilegiate nei tre piani. Luce, buio ed esplorazioni sono temi collegati, come gli elementi che indicano le portantine, la stella, le reazioni chimiche, le energie.<br style=\"line-height: 13px;\" \/><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tLoro sono energie che si raccontano.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 18px; margin: 0px 0px 1.35em;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 18px; margin: 0px 0px 1.35em;\"><span style=\"color: rgb(105, 105, 105);\"><strong>Gilberto Zorio<\/strong>&nbsp;&egrave; nato nel 1944 ad Andorno Micca, Biella. Vive e lavora a Torino. Gilberto Zorio explores space by dealing with themes that oscillate between experience, contrasts and the unknown.<br style=\"line-height: 13px;\" \/><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe exhibition begins in the large room on the&nbsp;<strong>ground floor<\/strong>&nbsp;with &ldquo;Torre Stella&rdquo; (Star Tower), a construction of Gasbeton blocks arranged in a star-shaped plan. Since antiquity, the star is an instrument that has been linked both to orientation and desire. The points of the star will get longer and spread clockwise within the radial area. The interior of the tower will be partly visible and the luminescence caused by the sudden darkness will be clearly visible.<br style=\"line-height: 13px;\" \/><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAlchemic signs, which are usually not visible, will appear throughout the room .<br style=\"line-height: 13px;\" \/><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe foundry ladles are vessels used for the manual transport of crucibles containing incandescent molten bronze which is ready to be poured into the negative mould-valve of the sculpture. The ladles normally act as the tools used to make a sculpture but in Zorio&rsquo;s show they are transformed into actual art works themselves.<br style=\"line-height: 13px;\" \/><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tOn the&nbsp;<strong>first floor<\/strong>&nbsp;the show continues with another Star Tower. In the space illuminated by sunlight, the construction spreads into the outdoor area going along the terrace while the work&nbsp;<em>Luci<\/em>, 1968, (<em>Lights<\/em>, 1968) tries to complete with the glare of the Sun and is ready to illuminate itself and the ensuing darkness.<br style=\"line-height: 13px;\" \/><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tOn the&nbsp;<strong>second floor<\/strong>, which is in darkness, there will be Pyrex containers, rubber containers, signs and works that are visible thanks to the use of coagulated materials which are frequently employed in Zorio&rsquo;s work.<br style=\"line-height: 13px;\" \/><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe luminescence and the discharges,&nbsp; the Tesla coils, will occupy privileged positions on the three floors. Light, darkness and exploration are inter-connected themes like the elements that indicate the vessels, the star, the chemical reactions and forms of energy.<br style=\"line-height: 13px;\" \/><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThey are forms of energy that have stories to tell.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 18px; margin: 0px 0px 1.35em;\"><br style=\"line-height: 13px;\" \/><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span style=\"color: rgb(105, 105, 105);\"><strong>Gilberto Zorio<\/strong>&nbsp;was born in 1944 in Andorno Micca, Biella. He lives and works in Turin. He was a leading member of &ldquo;Arte Povera&rdquo;, the movement that formed in Italy during the mid sixties.
