La Fondazione Nicola Trussardi<\/strong> e miart<\/strong>, per la prima volta insieme, presentano Liberi tutti<\/em><\/strong>, un piccolo festival di arte dal vivo che animerà le serate della fiera d’arte contemporanea di Milano. Tutte le sere dal 3 al 6 aprile, dalle 22:00 alle 24:00<\/strong>, artisti internazionali metteranno in scena performance, concerti, intermezzi e pièce teatrali nell’affascinante cornice del Teatro Arsenale<\/strong>, luogo di emblematici avvenimenti nella vita spirituale e artistica della città dal XII secolo a oggi. <\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Venerdì 5 aprile<\/strong> l’artista israeliana Keren Cytter<\/strong> metterà in scena Show Real Drama<\/em><\/strong>, una performance dal taglio teatrale – già presentata alla Tate Modern di Londra lo scorso autunno e ora per la prima volta in Italia – basata sulla vita di due dei suoi attori, Susie Meyer e Fabian Stumm, che sul palco rappresentano se stessi tra realtà e finzione. In questa pièce Cytter e i suoi attori ci raccontano l'amore, il desiderio, la perdita e l'imprevedibilità della comunicazione umana, rimescolando i codici standard, i racconti e le immagini solitamente usate per descrivere questi temi. <\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Con Liberi tutti<\/em><\/strong> la Fondazione Nicola Trussardi, in collaborazione con miart, prosegue nella sua azione di supporto e valorizzazione delle espressioni più originali dell'arte e della cultura contemporanea, portando i linguaggi più sperimentali di oggi negli affascinanti spazi dell’antica chiesa di San Simone e Giuda <\/strong>edificata nel 1272, sconsacrata in epoca napoleonica per poi essere trasformata in teatro, sala da ballo, deposito, teatro delle marionette, di nuovo in luogo di culto, sede di associazioni e infine, dal 1978, nel celebre Teatro Arsenale<\/strong>, che riprende nel nome la funzione di deposito svolta nell'800. Il Teatro Arsenale conserva ancora oggi gli elementi architettonici tipici di un edificio religioso, come la facciata con rosone che si affaccia su via Cesare Correnti. <\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

L'ARTISTA<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\n

 <\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\n

Keren Cytter<\/strong> è nata a Tel Aviv, Israele, nel 1977 e vive a Berlino. Ispirato dalla sua vita e da quella dei suoi amici, il suo lavoro presenta i conflitti su cui si basano le relazioni interpersonali, invitando lo spettatore a osservare una rappresentazione esistenzialista e onirica di spaccati di vita quotidiana. Molti sono i ruoli da lei rivestiti nel suo lavoro di artista – coreografa, regista, filmmaker, grafica, scrittrice e sound-designer – di cui utilizza gli srtumenti e il vocabolario per creare opere che funzionano sia come celebrazione che come critica del mezzo stesso. Il suo lavoro è stato esposto alle recenti personali al Moderna Museet di Stoccolma e allo Stedelijk Museum di Amsterdam, oltre che, tra gli altri, alla Tate Modern di Londra, all’Irish Museum of Modern Art di Dublino, al Mumok Ludwig di Vienna, alla GAMeC di Bergamo e alla Kunsthalle di Zurigo. Nel 2006 ha ricevuto il Baloise Art Prize nella sezione ‘Art Statements’ di Art 37 Basel. <\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

The Fondazione Nicola Trussardi<\/strong> and miart<\/strong> are joining forces for the first time to present Liberi Tutti<\/em><\/strong>, a miniature festival of live events which will keep the energy of Milan's contemporary art fair flowing well into the night. From 10 PM to 12 AM every evening from 3 to 6 April<\/strong>, international artists will stage performance pieces, concerts, intermezzos and plays at the fascinating Teatro Arsenale<\/strong>, a landmark that has played a key role in the city’s spiritual and artistic life from the thirteenth century to the present.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Friday 5 April<\/strong> the Israeli artist Keren Cytter<\/strong> will present Show Real Drama<\/strong><\/em>, a theatrical kind of performance—presented at Tate Modern in London last autumn, and now for the first time in Italy—based on the life of her two actors, Susie Meyer and Fabian Stumm, who play themselves onstage, blending reality with fiction. In this piece, Cytter and her cast tell us about love, desire, loss, and the unpredictable nature of human communication, mixing up the standard codes, stories, and images normally used to describe them. <\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

With Liberi Tutti<\/strong><\/em>, the Fondazione Nicola Trussardi<\/strong>, in partnership with miart<\/strong>, continues its mission of fostering and promoting the most original expressions of contemporary art and culture, bringing today’s most experimental forms of language into the fascinating context of the former church of San Simone e Giuda<\/strong>. Built in 1272, this space was deconsecrated in the Napoleonic era, then transformed into a theater, ballroom, storehouse, puppet theater, then back into a place of worship and the headquarters for various associations. Finally, in 1978, it became the famous Teatro Arsenale, which takes its name from the building’s nineteenth-century function. Teatro Arsenale<\/strong> still preserves the architectural features of a religious edifice, such as a rose-window facade on Via Cesare Correnti.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Keren Cytter<\/strong> was born in Tel Aviv, Israel in 1977 and lives in Berlin. Inspired by her own life and those of her friends, her work examines the conflicts that underlie human relationships, inviting viewers into existentialist, dreamlike dramas of the commonplace. She tries on many different artistic roles—choreographer, director, filmmaker, graphic designer, writer, and sound designer—using the tools and vocabulary of each to create works that function both as celebrations and critiques of the medium itself. Her work has been shown in recent solo exhibitions at Moderna Museet in Stockholm and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, as well as museums such at Tate Modern in London, the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin, Mumok Ludwig in Vienna, GAMeC in Bergamo, and Kunsthalle Zürich.
