Quelli sono gli anni della Pop Art quando il concetto di unicit&agrave; dell&rsquo;opera d&rsquo;arte, gi&agrave; messo in discussione precedentemente da Duchamp, Man Ray e i dadaisti, viene superato. Gli artisti cominciano quindi a creare diverse edizioni moltiplicate per un crescente interesse verso questo nuovo modo di fare arte, sia a livello culturale che commerciale: si cerca di ampliare il pubblico dei collezionisti moltiplicando l&rsquo;oggetto e, di conseguenza, riducendone il prezzo. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ecxMsoNormal\" style=\"text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-align: justify; text-autospace: \"><span style=\"font-family: arial; font-size: 11pt\">Le edizioni diventano allora una componente importante dell<b>\u02bc<\/b>espressione artistica perch&eacute; permettono numerose possibilit&agrave; di sperimentazione di materiali e l&rsquo;invenzione di inedite soluzioni formali, ma soprattutto favoriscono una maggior diffusione delle idee, in anni in cui il bisogno di comunicare &egrave; molto forte. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ecxMsoNormal\" style=\"text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-align: justify; text-autospace: \"><span style=\"font-family: arial; font-size: 11pt\">La mostra, allestita nei due spazi di via Tadino, alla Fondazione Marconi e allo Studio Marconi &rsquo;65, documenta la trasformazione dello status dell&rsquo;opera d&rsquo;arte da oggetto unico a molteplice attraverso multipli di artisti che hanno lavorato con lo Studio Marconi. Sono esposte, tra le altre, le <i>Cravatte<\/i>(1967) realizzate in celluloide da Enrico Baj, nei cui multipli emerge ancora pi&ugrave; forte il suo interesse artigiano nei confronti della materia, i suoi personaggi in plastica, la <i>Maternit&agrave;<\/i> (1974) in meccano e <i>L&rsquo;uovo di Saffo<\/i> (1999) una scatola di legno contenente un uovo di struzzo modificato e cinque frammenti poetici di Saffo liberamente trascritti da Alda Merini. Poi diversi multipli in legno di Mario Ceroli e Joe Tilson, i casellari e la <i>Boite &agrave; malice <\/i>(1980) di Lucio Del Pezzo, edizioni di Richard Hamilton come <i>Guggenheim<\/i> (1970), <i>Cage<\/i> (1972) di Bruno Di Bello, <i>Sistema<\/i> (1976) di Gianfranco Pardi, multipli in bronzo e in acciaio di Arnaldo Pomodoro. Ed ancora Louise Nevelson, a proposito della quale Giorgio Marconi racconta di essere stato lui a convincere l&rsquo;artista americana a realizzare dei multipli perch&eacute; lei non era d&rsquo;accordo (aveva paura del prezzo basso) ma nel 1973 realizzarono <i>Night Blossom<\/i> e due anni dopo <i>Winter Chord<\/i> entrambi tirati in 100 esemplari ed esposti in mostra.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ecxMsoNormal\" style=\"text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-align: justify; text-autospace: \"><span style=\"font-family: arial; font-size: 11pt\">Poi la <i>rosa impacchetata<\/i> (1968) di Christo, multipli di Alik Cavaliere, di Hsiao Chin, i <i>Papaveri<\/i> (1988) di Gilardi, alcune serigrafie di Pistoletto, il multiplo in bronzo <i>Passaggi segreti<\/i> di Giuseppe Maraniello e il poema scritto a quattro mani e illustrato da Mimmo Paladino e Nanni Balestrini, contenuto in una valigia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ecxMsoNormal\" style=\"text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family: arial; font-size: 11pt\">Per Man Ray &ldquo;un&rsquo;opera unica nasce da un desiderio, tutte le riproduzioni di un&rsquo;originale invece da una necessit&agrave;&rdquo;.Infatti fu la forte richiesta di mercato e soprattutto la non reperibilit&agrave; pratica delle sue opere a spingere l&rsquo;artista a realizzare copie dei suoi oggetti unici: in mostra <i>Indestructible Object<\/i> e <i>Indicateur, <\/i>quegli oggetti che come scrisse l&rsquo;artista stesso: &ldquo;erano pensati per divertire, disorientare, infastidire, o far riflettere, e non per destare ammirazione&rdquo;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ecxMsoNormal\" style=\"text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family: arial; font-size: 11pt\">Dice Giorgio Marconi: &ldquo;in questo momento di crisi economica il multiplo per il suo prezzo accessibile favorisce il collezionismo, senza spaventarlo come i prezzi milionari degli artisti dell&rsquo;alta finanza. At that time, with Pop Art the idea of uniqueness relating to the work of art became outdated. This concept has already been called into question by Duchamp, Man Ray and the Dadaists. Artists created numerous editions, thanks to a growing interest towards this new way of making art: they tried to broaden the public, making multiple editions of their objects and reducing the price.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ecxMsoNormal\" style=\"text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family: arial; font-size: 11pt\">So editions became an important part of the artistic expression because they allow artists to test several materials and to think up new formal solutions, but above all they promoted a major circulation of ideas when the need to communicate was very strong.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ecxMsoNormal\" style=\"text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family: arial; font-size: 11pt\">The exhibition developes itself into two exhibition spaces, Fondazione Marconi and Studio Marconi &rsquo;65. It documents the transformation of the status of the work of art from unique to various, through multiples by artists who worked with Studio Marconi &rsquo;65.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ecxMsoNormal\" style=\"text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family: arial; font-size: 11pt\">On view <i>Cravatte<\/i> (1967) made in celluloid by Enrico Baj, where appears the artist handicraft interest towards material, then his plastic characters as the<i>Maternit&agrave; <\/i>(1974) in meccano and <i>L&rsquo;uovo di Saffo<\/i> (1999) a wooden box containing a modified ostrich-egg and five poetical passages by Saffo, freely written out by Alda Merini. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ecxMsoNormal\" style=\"text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family: arial; font-size: 11pt\">There are also various multiples by Mario Ceroli and by Joe Tilson, <i>Casellario<\/i>and <i>Boite &agrave; malice<\/i> (1980) by Lucio Del Pezzo, editions by Richard Hamilton as <i>Guggenheim<\/i>(1970), <i>Cage<\/i> (1970) by Bruno Di Bello, <i>Sistema<\/i> (1976) by Gianfranco Pardi, and bronze and steel multiples by Arnaldo Pomodoro. And lots more as Louise Nevelson, with regards to the american artists Giorgio Marconi tells that it was him who persuaded the artist to realize multiple editions, <\/span>she was afraid of the low price but in 1973 they made <i>Night Blossom<\/i> and two years later <i>Winter Chord<\/i>, both in edition of 100.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ecxMsoNormal\" style=\"text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family: arial; font-size: 11pt\">There are also <i>Rosa impacchetata<\/i> (1968) by Christo, multiples by Alik Cavaliere, by Hsiao Chin, <i>Papaveri <\/i>(1988) by Gilardi, some screen printings by Pistoletto, the bronze multiple <i>Passaggi segreti<\/i> by Giuseppe Maraniello and the poem written by Mimmo Paladino and Nanni Balestrini hold in a suitcase.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ecxMsoNormal\" style=\"text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family: arial; font-size: 11pt\">To Man Ray &ldquo;a unique work originates from a desire and all the duplications by a need&rdquo;. It was the market demand and the difficult availability of his works that pushed the artist to make editions of his unique objects. On display there are <i>Indestructible Object<\/i> and <i>Indicateur<\/i>, objects that<span> <\/span>to the artist were &ldquo;designed to amuse, bewilder, annoy or to inspire reflection, but not to arouse admiration&rdquo;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ecxMsoNormal\" style=\"text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family: arial; font-size: 11pt\">Giorgio Marconi says: &ldquo;multiples promote collecting without spending too much during these hard times.
