\n\tGiovanissima e davvero particolare, Beth Jeans Hougthon<\/b> è uno dei nomi su cui la stampa inglese ed internazionale in genere sta puntando maggiormente negli ultimi mesi, accogliendo con grande attesa l’uscita del disco di debutto, Yours Truly<\/i>, Cellophane Nose, <\/i>uscito a fine febbraio per Mute Records.

\n\t<\/span><\/font><\/font>Questa particolarissima artista di soli 22 anni,  che con il suo look dal trucco pesante, pettinature e vestiti improbabili quanto eccentrici,  sta per pubblicare con la sua band, The Hooves Of Destiny, Yours Truly, Cellophane Nose<\/i>, un disco che arriva dopo che Beth Jeans Houghton<\/b> ha aperto concerti per chi del folk e del pop è riuscito a farne una faccenda molto personale a livello interpretativo, si va da Devendra Banhart a Joanna Newsom, Bon Iver e Tunng. Su questa giovanissima artista di Newcastle, spesso paragonata a St. Vincent e Laura Marling, la Mute Records (etichetta di Depeche Mode, Nick Cave, Josh T. Pearson, Yan Tiersen solo per citarne alcuni) ha puntato tantissimo: infatti alla produzione del suo disco di debutto è stato chiamato uno dei producer più importanti in UK, Ben Hiller, che ha lavorato in passato con Blur, Depeche Mode ed Elbow.

\n\tUn biglietto da visita niente male per questa ragazza del nord Inghilterra che rappresenta quanto di più creativo ed arty esista oggi in area folk in UK. Beth Jeans Houghton<\/b> nel suo disco dimostra di essere in grado di emergere dalla selva della scena inglese grazie alla sua estrema originalità nella fusione del pop con le varie coniugazioni dell’arte in materia musicale senza per questo risultare difficile all’ascolto o troppo pretenziosa. Yours Truly, Cellophane Nose<\/i> è stato premiato con 4 stelle da Mojo, Uncut e osannato dalla maggioranza dei grandi media inglesi, anche in Italia si è già fatta notare con segnalazioni di tutto rispetto su media nazionali non prettamente musicali ma molto influenti come L’Espresso e su tutte le riviste italiane di settore. <\/p>\n
